MCG excels in China's toughest lightning environments

It used to be that more than 25% of China's lighthouses experienced lightning damage every year.  Many surge protection products were tried in vain costing the government millions of RMB in damages.  But after MCG was chosen to protect six of the worst-hit lighthouses, those problems went away.  The lighthouses protected by MCG were suddenly free of damage.  The engineers on the spot are very happy and very thankful. 

Is there a secret to this successful record.  Not at all.  The proven steps are exactly described in the recently issued CHINA LIGHTNING GUIDELINE which you can obtain from MCG's Beijing Representative Office.

 The successful actions can be briefly described:

1) Use only MCG Surge Protectors.

2) For a first line of defense, use a protector which can handle a minimum of 200kA of surge current.

3) Install the protector as closely as possible to the equipment you want to protect.

4) Protect every line where an overvoltage could appear to damage your equipment.  These include AC power lines (most important), DC power lines, antenna feeder lines, ground lines,  telephone lines, network lines.
